My creative process is rooted in an appreciation for movement, color, sound, and light. I enjoy the challenge of coordinating these elements, and take a lot of pride in making sure each of these details are intentional and accounted for in my work. I create work that is both meaningful and informative, and by blending the art of cognitive expression with logistical digital knowledge, that can be transcribed in the studio, for a performance, or capturing movement/expression in film.
While creating and teaching, I emphasize the connection between physical communication and philosophical expression. “How can the intensity and tone of my movement portray the emotion or story I am trying to express?”
My goal is to create an environment where my dancers feel physically challenged, comfortable with making mistakes, and eager to learn and grow. I strive to build a space where dancers are challenged to take risks, find their strength, and ultimately transform into the most vibrant versions of themselves, both on and off the stage.
